13 February 1974 Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn expelled from USSR

Aleksandr Isayevich Solzhenitsyn, the Russian writer, activist and dissident was deported today from the USSR to Frankfurt in West Germany and stripped of his Soviet citizenship.
